Round Neck
I just got pet mice and one of them is growing a hard round bump under her neck and its kinda big.?
she is also the alpha mouse compared to her new buddy. should i be worried about the bump? it seems tobe right under the skin. is it a tumer?

i can say i have a pretty good experience with mice and learning their behaviors, personalities, habits, moods, and even health issues. so i'd like to help !
with the way your question is asked, it could be more than one possibility- knowing the age & gender can be great sources in finding a positive answer.
your tiny friend may most likely have a tumor under her neck. effects of a tumor can take place anywhere on the body and it grows gradually week by week; even days. it can "morph" into different sizes and shapes and have a soft squishy feel, if touched. it is most common in aged mice rather than young "hoppers" or slightly middle-aged mice.
solutions to fixing a tumor are somewhat difficult. but the one that keeps coming to mind, would be taking it to a vet and having it surgically removed- i'm sure it's possible!
my one of two albino ("feeder") mice, both females & turning 2yrs, had a tumor on her side that would grow in size by the day; making her mobility very hard. but she was still chipper and always eager for attention and love ^_^ it was difficult to see her struggle though =( and i couldn't follow through with surgery, esp. with her age.
but i hope you and your tiny friend the best of possibilities that it's something other than a tumor that's fixable, and non-painful as well-
so, that's my advice and learning experience for you ! =)
